Company Background

AuthZed, Inc. ("AuthZed" or "the Company") is a computer software company that helps businesses integrate performant and scalable authorization with their applications. Founded by three successful entrepreneurs with expertise in enterprise and cloud software, AuthZed has been backed by institutional and individual investors with a proven track record for building successful, enterprise-focused companies.

AuthZed is best known for its industry-leading open source project: SpiceDB. SpiceDB is a cloud-native, distributed, database management system. Unlike general-purpose relational databases, SpiceDB is purpose-built to structure, store, and query access control data in a way that ensures flexible consistency, low-latency, and scalable operations.

Description of Services

AuthZed offers a cloud platform for fully-managed deployments of SpiceDB and associated software necessary to operate robust authorization systems. The platform offers functionality for common operational requirements (e.g. monitoring, automatic upgrades, back-ups) as well enterprise features (e.g. single sign-on, audit logging). A central dashboard experience provides a single-pane of glass for configuring fully-isolated deployments for staging, production, and any other type of special-purpose environments. Customers collaborate with an account team of domain experts to co-develop cohesive authorization systems including schema designs, the size and architecture of their deployments, and strategies for integration with their existing software and workflows.

Additionally, AuthZed offers air-gapped software and support options for customers self-hosting SpiceDB within their own enterprise environments.
